20 blogs. 11 months. 1 massive achievement.
I can’t believe it’s nearly been a year since the launch of this website. Eyesight Productions has been my labour of love for many years, but it wasn’t until last year where I could finally share my love of film with the rest of the world.
Since the beginning the main task of the website was to be a hub of all things related to my films and projects, and a place to discover more about them. From what I have learnt this website has managed to achieve this goal. I have had family and friends come up to me and tell me how professional and instructive this website has been. It has been developed a lot in the space of such a short time, introducing new pages and elements to keep it up to date and fresh. There is one person in particular who has helped bring the website to this standard - Charlie Wright.
Charlie has continuously made the website an engaging place for people to discover my love of film. His support is shown through every page that he made, and has contributed so much into the heart of this website. However, the one thing we co-ordinate on the most is the blogs.
Since I started doing the blogs we discussed how we should approach them. They should be informative, educational and also a bit personal. My knowledge of film is limited, but my love and respect of film is bountiful. So logically we came up with such ideas such as The Directors That Inspired Alex and My Top 5 Christmas Films. At the same time I wanted to talk more in depth about the films I’ve made, which so far have only be two; The Girl in the Café and Oink!. Both of these films have their own pages on the website which informs you of what they’re about, but there was nothing about why they’re about. So that’s why I designed blogs around these films too.
Looking ahead I hope more people come to the website and go away feeling like they’re learnt something new, not just about me but about film in general, and that they’ve found everything clearly and easily. The blogs will continually change and have more content and become a staple for the website. They are my way of communicating to you. I just hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read and seen so far.
Thank you for reading today’s blog!
Alex Murray, the Head of Eyesight Productions
